Days 5 - 6: Showtime

On Friday, the company celebrates a successful opening. The run of the show is captured here as a series of dramatic photographs set to the Final Countdown.

After Saturday's performance, the group packs and prepares to say farewell to Belgium.

Day 3: Cobblestones and Waffles

Darren is under quarantine at the hotel.
Workshops with the school students begin and tech continues.

The group takes a break to venture into Brussels proper for an evening.

Day 2: Tuesday Morning Blues

The morning after load-in, Darren wakes up and can't talk

He explains while Lisa translates.

Jet Lag Load In

The company arrives in Brussels after an overnight flight. Actors exercise their special skills section as everyone pitches in to get the theater ready for the week.

Next Stop Brussels

Shakespearean Insults

Getting to Belgium won't be cheap, so the guys from No Jacket Required came up with their own fundraiser (no, it's not a car wash). With the economic crisis, ruined retirements, and the recession on people's minds, NJR thought everyone could use an outlet for their anger. Why not do it the good old fashioned way with a Shakespearean insult?

In the Summer of 2008, three Shakespearean actors came together in NYC to form the group No Jacket Required and to attempt the impossible: to perform The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged.

In the middle of winter, No Jacket Required returns to Central Park to attempt to relive the glory of warmer days and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged.

After an extremely successful run that propelled the group to stardom,
No Jacket Required has tracked down the original members of the NYC performance, to see if they can make the magic happen one more time.

No Jacket Required has returned in a big way.  It's been a long time coming and there's no turning back now.  This is what makes us.  This is what we are.  Remember, don't hate us, hate the money we see, the clothes that we wear, and the ice that we buy. We're pulling out all the stops on the way to Belgium and we ain't never gonna stop for no one. Holla.
